The coding language is very easy to self learn. Pros: MATLAB is basically a coding software. You do have to purchase a license where other softwares, you don't need a license and you can just freely use it. The other thing that I dislike about MATLAB is that other coding softwares are free.

However, the information that they give you to point you towards this error is often misleading and for new coders, it's very difficult to decipher what the error means and how to solve it. MATLAB does tell you at what line and what character the error is. The first being that when you are writing a code and there is an error, it is oftentimes very difficult to decipher what you actually need to do to solve the error. There are a few things that I dislike about MATLAB. You can tend to forget little details like that, so MATLAB's very intuitive and helps you out that way. Let's say, it'll help you remember to start a loop and to close a loop at the very end, which is very helpful when you're writing a very long code. For example, when you are writing a code, it will highlight the beginning of a loop. What I like about MATLAB is that it's relatively easy to use, quite user intuitive, and there's a lot of help built into the actual application.

And it helps the students learn how to code, especially the basics of code, and how to do various different functions and loops using MATLAB. We typically use it to model various equations in our Differential Equations Course to solve difficult problems that are typically hard to solve by hand so we use computer programming to solve them.
